ACCO members represented the ACCO at the annual Irei No Hi (Memorial Day) ceremonies at Peace Prayer Park. ACCO Vice President Tony Sakuda laid a wreath at the American section of the monument that lists the names of all the Japanese, Americans and others that were killed in the Battle of Okinawa. Mr. Sakuda was accompanied by Mr. Katsutoshi Tanaka. Mr. Tanaka’s father was killed in the Battle of Okinawa and accompanies the ACCO to lay a wreath and pay his respects at the memorial every year.

The USO, VFW, U.S. Consulate and all four branches of U.S. Armed Forces also participated in the joint event.
