Sharon Bignell joined Austrade in October 2020 and commenced as Consul and  Trade Commissioner (Osaka) in late December 2020.   Sharon has a background in international education, where she was most  recently the Associate Director, International at Bond University from 2018 to  2020. Prior to that, she was part of Griffith University’s international team from  2014 to 2017, responsible for student recruitment from North East Asia. Sharon has also held a number of other education roles in Australia, Japan and the UK in the ELICOS and higher education sectors.    Sharon speaks Japanese and has previously lived in Japan for approximately 10  years, including undertaking exchange programs at high school and university.  She worked as a Coordinator for International Relations on the JET Programme  for three years in Mie Prefecture, and then assisted in managing the JET  Programme at the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations  (CLAIR) in Tokyo. She also worked for the Australian Embassy Tokyo from 2011  to 2013.    A graduate of the University of Technology Sydney majoring in International  Business and Japanese, Sharon also holds a Master’s degree in International  ゲスト講演者：在大阪オーストラリア総領事館   領事　シャロン・ビグネル 氏 　シャロン・ビグネルは、2020年10月にオーストラリア貿易投資促進庁（オース トレード）に入庁し、2020年12月末に在大阪オーストラリア総領事館 領事兼 トレード・コミッショナーに着任。  　これまで、教育産業における国際マーケティング業務に従事し、直近では2018 年から2020年まで、ボンド大学の国際部アソシエイト・ディレクターとして、 国際戦略を統括した。2014年から2017年までは、グリフィス大学の国際部門に て、日本をはじめ北東アジア地域からの留学生招致の責任者を務めた。他にも オーストラリア、日本、イギリスにて、英語教育産業及び高等教育産業におけ る様々な職務経験を有する。  　通算10年間の日本在住経験があり（高校、大学への交換留学を含む）、日本語 が堪能である。JETプログラムに参加し、三重県の地方自治体で国際交流員と して3年間勤務。その後、JETプログラムを運営する一般財団法人自治体国際化 協会（クレア）東京本部にて勤務した。また、2011年から2013年まで、在日オ ーストラリア大使館で勤務した経験も有する。  　シドニー工科大学で国際ビジネス及び日本語を専攻。また、マッコーリー大学 では国際関係学の修士号を取得。
